Currently, the Louise R. Lester Foundation operates two grant making cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall.
The 2023 Spring Grant application cycle opens February 9, 2023 and applications must be received by March 16, 2023 at 9:00AM.
The 2023 Fall Grant application cycle opens August 10, 2023 and applications must be received by September 14, 2023 at 9:00AM.
Grant funding decisions are usually made within 6 weeks after the close of the cycle.
Please review the application and guideline information thoroughly before applying to ensure your organization meets our eligibility criteria.
The Board of Directors of the Louise R. Lester Foundation has the responsibility for final approval of each grant. Since the Foundation receives funding requests in excess of its funds available for grants, not all or only a portion of the requests received can be approved. A decision not to fund a request does not necessarily reflect on the merits of the applicant or the value of its request.
Organizations are only eligible to receive one grant in a calendar year.
The submission or review of a grant application does not obligate The Louise R. Lester Foundation to grant any request. The Foundation is interested in providing resources to areas of need not adequately served by the local charitable communities. All organizations receiving a grant award must be a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations.
Please download and fill out the application LRL-Grant-Application-Spring-2023-WORD You may request a PDF format of the application be emailed to you by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Starting this cycle, we would prefer all applications be sent in via email. We will still accept applications via mail, if there is no alternative, but would prefer applications being emailed.
