Currently, the Louise R. Lester Foundation operates two grant making cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall.

The 2025 Spring Grant application cycle opens February 13, 2025 and applications must be received by March 18, 2025 at 9:00AM.

The 2025 Fall Grant application cycle opens August 7, 2025 and applications must be received by September 9, 2025 at 9:00AM.

Grant funding decisions are usually made within 6 weeks after the close of the cycle.

Please review the application and guideline information thoroughly before applying to ensure your organization meets our eligibility criteria.

The Board of Directors of the Louise R. Lester Foundation has the responsibility for final approval of each grant. Since the Foundation receives funding requests in excess of its funds available for grants, not all or only a portion of the requests received can be approved. A decision not to fund a request does not necessarily reflect on the merits of the applicant or the value of its request.

Organizations are only eligible to receive one grant in a calendar year.
